How to Stop LinkedIn From Showing You Ads Based on Your Job Information

32 – Email Marketing Support

As you use LinkedIn, the professional social network will attempt to show you advertisements that are relevant to you based on the information you’ve provided about yourself, such as your location and education information. LinkedIn may also show you ads based on your current and past job information. If you want to stop LinkedIn from showing you ads based on your job information, our guide will show you how to turn this setting off.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the LinkedIn application on iOS. Also note, even if you turn off this setting, you’ll still see ads on LinkedIn. They just won’t be personalized to you based on your job information.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap “Settings.”

Step 3: Tap “Advertising data.”

Step 4: Under the “Data collected on LinkedIn” section, tap “Job Information.”

Step 5: You’ll see a list of your current and past job information. Tap the checkbox to the left of any item to stop Linkedin from showing you ads based on that information.
