While building up a variety of social media pages that can target your key audiences is a goal that you should be working towards, it can also take a lot of time to do so. 

But that doesn’t mean that social media can’t be a viable way to promote your product – even if your Facebook or Twitter pages don’t quite have the few thousand followers you’re aiming for just yet.

Social Media Influencers are people who have built a reputation and a following due to their knowledge and expertise on a specific topic and are the key to ensuring that you reach your target audiences. 

Because of their perceived high level of knowledge, many people in their following will gain an interest in any services that they recommend, believing that those services will also be beneficial to them.

Basically, by having an influencer promote your product, you are almost guaranteed that a portion of their following will investigate what you have to offer.

However, just finding the biggest influencer you can and having that person advertise your product isn’t necessarily going to be effective. Apple wouldn’t go to an influencer who focuses on food recipes and cooking to promote the new iPad.

It’s also important that you find an influencer in the right niche. It’s far more effective to find a technologically-based influencer to promote your new electronic device rather than an unrelated influencer with 10, or ever 100 times as many followers. Micro-influencers can be practical and cost-effective as well!

This practice makes the most sense when you are looking to increase the visibility of your products with your sales systems set up and in place. Look into influencers in the related field and learn how much they charge for advertisement. 

Free samples of your product as a gift can sometimes get you free promotion as well!
